Introductions
In 2012, the Faculty of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine officially re-organized its departments and since then, Department of Infectious Diseases and Veterinary Public Health (D.I.D.V.P.H.) has been established. This formation was based on specialized groups of infectious diseases and relationships among veterinary – community – environment, especially when the “One-health” concept is being noticed worldwide. Human resources of the D.I.D.V.P.H. are from: Department of Infectious Microorganisms, Department of Pathology, Department of Surgical Anatomy.

- Developing new diagnostic techniques by applying advanced biotechnology for rapid, accurate detection, evaluation of diseases and products from animals.
- Studying about infectious diseases pathogenesis and hereditary variation of pathogenic viruses and bacteria in veterinary.
- Studying and evaluating the effectiveness of vaccines for epidemic disease prevention.
- Studying about epidemiology, spread and infectious characteristics of epidemic diseases.
- Studying about antibiotic resistance on bacteria and its impacts on community’s health; successfully isolating and producing probiotics for animal husbandry and disease prevention.
