Produce Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with regional and international to support the development of Vietnam and provide the human resource for global market.

Vision

To become a regionally recognized advanced veterinary medicine program with international standards in education, research, and professional practice, producing veterinarians with strong professional competence, scientific thinking, global perspectives, and the ability to address challenges in animal, human, and environmental health.

Development Strategies

  • Continuously update the curriculum in accordance with international educational standards and emerging trends in veterinary medicine.
  • Strengthen integrated, competency-based, problem-based, and clinical-oriented education.
  • Develop an English-medium academic and research environment and expand engagement with international experts and partners.
  • Strengthen practical training through the Veterinary Hospital, laboratories, field facilities, and industry partnerships.
  • Promote interdisciplinary research, innovation, and international scientific publications.
  • Expand partnerships with universities, research institutions, professional organizations, and industry nationally and internationally.
  • Strengthen the One Health orientation to address zoonoses, antimicrobial resistance, food safety, and ecosystem health.

Research Directions

The Board promotes interdisciplinary research in the following priority areas:

  1. Infectious Diseases and Epidemiology: pathogenesis, epidemiology, surveillance, prevention and control of infectious diseases; emerging and zoonotic diseases.
  2. One Health, Antimicrobial Resistance and Public Health: antimicrobial use and resistance, food safety, zoonotic risks, and the interconnected health of animals, humans, and the environment.
  3. Veterinary Biotechnology and Diagnostics: molecular diagnostics, PCR/qPCR, biotechnology, molecular biology, biosensors, and rapid diagnostic technologies.
  4. Immunology, Vaccines and Alternatives to Antibiotics: vaccines, probiotics, prebiotics, medicinal plants, and biological approaches for disease prevention and control.
  5. Veterinary Pharmacology and Therapeutics: drug mechanisms, therapeutic efficacy and safety, medicinal products, and advanced therapeutic approaches in veterinary medicine.
  6. Veterinary Pathology and Clinical Medicine: diseases of livestock, poultry, and companion animals; diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, surgery, reproduction, and musculoskeletal disorders.
  7. Applied Research and Innovation in Veterinary Medicine: application of emerging technologies, data-driven approaches, and advanced methodologies to improve diagnosis, disease prevention, treatment, and animal health management
