OUR PREVIOUS ACTIVITES:

In this show, we were honored to have MSc. Heidi Quine – the Director of Bear & Vet team, and Ms. Lý Mai Hân – a Vietnamese veterinarian intern, as our two key speakers, who gave their meaningful sharing about their mission of bear conservation and the internship program as a wildlife vet at the Vietnam Bear Rescue Center, Vĩnh Phúc.Discussion day: Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in Vietnam – In April 2021, we held an English presentation day about antimicrobial resistance in Vietnam, a topic of concern in the field of veterinary medicine. Four student teams prepared and presented about the use of antimicrobials in husbandry. We were honored to have Assoc. Prof. Võ Thị Trà An at the show, who gave very detailed and helpful advice for the teams’ presentations, as well as informative sharing about Vietnam’s AMR reality.
OTHER PROJECTS AND ACTIVITIES:
Professional English: Anatomy Flashcard – In December 2020, we published our first flashcard for professional English learners. The flashcards contain English – Vietnamese terms and explanations, as well as respective illustrations. With these flashcards, we hope veterinary students can learn professional terms about anatomy in the easiest and fun way. We received a lot of support of the students, which encouraged us to work on the next topics.Volunteer days and Field trips – As a place for students to enhance themselves, we always encourage our members to take a step to the outside world. The best way to do this is via volunteer campaigns and field trips to speak English with foreigners. Doing meaningful deeds and meeting new people together improve our interpersonal skills and bond us together.
